Services
Supporting Child Development and Behaviour from Birth to 12 Years
Based in Hamilton, New Zealand, Connected Families offers flexible, family centred and inclusive support to help your child - and your whole family - thrive.
I believe families are the experts on their children. My role is to partner with you - to listen, to learn, and to work together on strategies that fit your unique child, whānau and everyday life.
I support families with children aged 0-12, with and without disabilities, through a relationship based approach grounded in a clear and simple framework: Notice - Recognise - Respond.
Together, we will notice behaviour, strengths, challenges, likes and dislikes. We will recognise the meaning of the behaviour and adapt our response accordingly to help the child thrive.
Support is flexible and can take place:
-
In your home (Hamilton and surrounding areas)
-
Online (anywhere in New Zealand)
-
In an office space in Hamilton Central

Funding options
There are various options to help you pay for services offered by Connected Families . You might be able to use funding such as:
-
Child Disability Allowance (CDA). CDA is a recognition payment for the primary caregiver, acknowledging the extra care and attention they provide each day. You could choose to use this funding to pay towards our services to support you.
-
WINZ Disability Allowance (DA). As a registered WINZ supplier, if you qualify for the Disability Allowance, then WINZ could pay you up to $80.35 per week, depending on verified weekly costs. You can choose to use this funding to pay for our services if it best supports your whānau. The DA is a cost-based payment that helps towards regular ongoing expenses related to a disability or health condition.
If you are not sure what applies to your situation, feel free to get in touch - I'm happy to guide you through the process to make support accessible for your whānau.
